How I deliver

02 How I deliver

One delivery loop. Tools change; the loop does not.

  1. 01

    Discovery

    Interviews, rulebook, SOW.

  2. 02

    Ready backlog

Definition of Ready, pointed stories, acceptance criteria.

  3. 03

    Sprint

    15-minute daily, WIP limits.

  4. 04

    Release

    Runbook, rollback, store compliance.

  5. 05

    Friday demo

    Executives unblock and decide.

  6. 06

    Retro

Starts with what management got wrong.

Risk and RCA: RAID log, Path to Green3-line update: status, risk, next

Jira, single source of truth: GitHub PRs, Zapier automations, JQL views per team

Integrate before you ceremonialize

At TRIPP the GitHub integration and weekly PR reviews came first; sprints came once the team trusted the board. Adoption went from pushback to 1,000+ tickets a sprint.

A rulebook beats a requirements doc

On the clinical genomics platform the rulebook translates clinical language into technical rules and is the one document every clinician, engineer and AI specialist signs off on.

Path to Green, not war rooms

A slipping item gets a root cause, options with cost and time, a re-sequenced plan and a daily checkpoint until it is green again. Frequent MVP drops keep trust while it recovers.

Decisions only, no storytelling

Executives get visuals and the decision they need to make. Engineers get the tools to meet the timeline they estimated. Retrospectives open with what management got wrong.

Status:
dev 80%, API keys pending from client.
Risk:
checkout smoke test fails on Safari; fix ETA 24h.
Next:
QA pass, UAT Friday; change request if the pixel work slips.

03 Four hats

Product Owner

Roadmaps, pointed backlogs, acceptance criteria, MVP slicing, release planning. Next step in my career is owning the product outright.

Scrum Master

Ceremonies sized to the team, velocity and capacity math, working agreements, retrospectives that start with management.

Technical Lead

PR reviews, environments and releases, data pipelines, CMS and commerce stacks, accessibility and app store compliance.

AI and automation

Claude and ChatGPT for documentation, QA and hiring; Lovable and Figma AI for prototypes; Zapier, Make and n8n for the glue.

05 Proof

"Emilio is one of the most meticulous project managers I've ever met. He was always willing to go the extra mile, wherever we needed the help. He is well-trained in every area of Scrum and helped mentor our other Project Managers. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a rock-star PM!"
